Hilary Duff made a Christmas record as a teenager and then waited more than twenty years to make another one. Holiday Things pairs three new originals with standards handled lightly, Duff's voice sitting warm and close over arrangements that favor brushed drums and real strings over sleigh bells. It follows Luck...Or Something, the album that brought her back to music, and shares that record's preference for small rooms over big gestures. A holiday album for people who find most holiday albums exhausting. Street date: December 11.
