Jeff DiPerna - Kid With a Camera: 1980s Punk and Post-Punk Fan Photos and Ephemera Book+7"
A fan at the front of 1980s LA punk, with a 7-inch of rarities
- 188 page softcover, fully illustrated, with over 100 unpublished photographs
- Includes a five track 7 inch of unreleased Monitor, Bpeople and Human Hands recordings
- Foreword by Don Bolles, plus DiPerna's handwritten list of every band he saw
Jeff DiPerna was a young fan in Los Angeles who went to shows, got to the front, and shot what he saw. More than a hundred of those photographs have never been published, and they run from the still unsigned Go-Go's and the chaos of the Dickies through Einstürzende Neubauten, Gang of Four, the Slits on their last tour, and the goth and death rock crowd around 45 Grave and Christian Death. Don Bolles writes the foreword. The book reproduces DiPerna's handwritten list of every band he saw, and comes with a five track seven inch of unreleased Monitor, Bpeople and Human Hands recordings.
