Album Facts
Jungle - For Ever Vinyl LP
A post-apocalyptic radio station playing break-up songs
- Jungle's 2018 second album, written in Los Angeles and finished in London
- Includes Happy Man and House in LA
- Falsetto harmonies and disco bass with a darker undertow
Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland wrote For Ever after swapping Shepherds Bush for the Hollywood Hills, and the record is largely about that trade going wrong. They described it as a post apocalyptic radio station playing break up songs, which lands: Happy Man and House in LA keep the falsetto harmonies and shuffling disco bass of the debut, but the mood underneath has curdled. The 2018 album is the one where Jungle's anonymity gave way to something personal, and the grooves got sharper for it.
