Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus have never been in a hurry, and The Gore is their first album in five years. The Hamilton duo still build from the same materials, patient drum programming, bass that sits low in the mix and vocals delivered just above a murmur, but the songs here stretch further and trust silence more. Underneath the Moon sets the tone: a groove that takes its time arriving and refuses to resolve once it does. City Slang issues the CD in a digisleeve. Street date: February 12.
