An Italo boogie holy grail, and one of the odder origin stories in the genre. Armed Gang came together in Vicenza around producer Maurizio "Sangy" Sangineto of Firefly, with keyboard player Flavio Botta and three American vocalists, Kenny Claiborne, Joe Beach and James Otis White Jr, who were stationed in Italy with the army at the time. Their only album sidestepped both the British synth-pop wave and the Nile Rodgers template that dominated Italian disco, aiming instead at the street funk and boogie coming out of the States. Cut from the master tapes with the original Italian artwork and an insert of photos and liner notes by Gonzalo Oya.
