Kyohei Tsutsumi wrote an enormous share of Japanese pop through the sixties and seventies, and in 1976 he put on a mask and made a disco record. The 585 Band was the vehicle, cut for Toshiba's PRO-USE audiophile line, and the arrangements are as sharp as the fidelity suggests: horn stabs, live bass, strings used like a rhythm instrument. Sexy Bus Stop turns up here, along with a reading of Ain't Nobody Straight In L.A. Ten tracks, and the first time the album has been officially reissued.
