Two of the most sampled bars in hip-hop, finally paired on one 7 inch. Darkest Light opens with a horn line you have heard whether or not you know where from, lifted by Jay-Z, Public Enemy and Wreckx-n-Effect among many others, and it came from the band's 1975 album Malik. Hihache, from 1973's Soul Makossa, carries the drum break that Biz Markie built Nobody Beats the Biz on. Both tracks are the work of a group of Long Island musicians who relocated to Paris and found their sound there. Limited to 500 copies with a full color sleeve.
