Few musicians have had the stretch and impact on so many fans and fellow artists like Lee "Scratch" Perry. From his work with The Upsetters, 'Super Ape' was and still is one of the holy grails for reggae and dub vinyl collectors out there, even for people who do not typically like reggae. While latter-day fans would come out of the woodwork after his passing, the fact remains: 'Super Ape' is still fresh as hell after all of these years and is the type of album you can put on in any setting and will make you feel "Zion's blood flowing your veins."
