The Original Score to Ryan Coogler's 2025 film Sinners is Ludwig Göransson's instrumental companion to the song-based soundtrack — the Oscar-winning composer's most personal work, performed largely on a 1932 Dobro Cyclops resonator guitar (the same one Preacher Boy Sammie carries in the film). Haunting and blues-steeped, it conjures the mysticism and folklore of the 1932 Mississippi Delta, anchored by the lead piece "Why You Here / Before the Sun Went Down." Göransson's fifth Coogler collaboration. Essential for any film-score or blues collection.
