Madlib made these for J Dilla, and it shows in every bar. Forty two soulful, floating instrumentals with contributions from J.Rocc, built as a farewell to a friend and collaborator rather than a tribute record in the usual sense. The beats drift where Dilla's would have snapped, which somehow makes the absence louder. Both volumes came out as separate LPs in 2008, went out of print, and are pressed together on 2LP for the first time, on metallic silver and gold vinyl in a gatefold jacket.
