Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin met in a Miami high school music program, started out playing prog, and eventually funneled all of it into pop that keeps folding in on itself. Imaginal Disk is where that approach paid off completely: a loose concept record about transformation, built from analog synths, guitar that arrives when you least expect it, and hooks that warp just as they land. 'Death & Romance' and 'Image' anchor it. This anniversary edition presses the album across two 180g audiophile records in a pop-up gatefold jacket with rainbow foil and printed lyric inserts.
