Masayoshi Takanaka - The Man With The Guitar: Recorded At Liveteria (180g) Vinyl LP
Takanaka and his band, live in the studio and on fire.
- First vinyl release of Takanaka's 2001 studio-live album, cut by Bernie Grundman
- Recorded before an audience out of rehearsals for his 30th anniversary concerts
- Includes Shake It, Nagisa Moderato, Saudade and Blue Lagoon
The Man With The Guitar is a live record with a twist. Masayoshi Takanaka cut it in 2001 in front of an audience, studio-live style, out of rehearsals for his 30th anniversary concerts, and the takes were simply too good to leave in the vault. Tsugutoshi Goto on bass, Hideo Yamaki and Tatsuo Hayashi on drums, Nobu Saito on percussion and Masae Nanbu and Keiji Matsumoto on keys lock in behind him through Shake It, Nagisa Moderato, Saudade and Blue Lagoon, with the chorus group EVE adding vocals. This is its first time on vinyl, cut by Bernie Grundman for the City Pop on Vinyl 2026 series.
