Hollywoo Dub is French producer Mato's love letter to the movies, rebuilt in deep, digital dub. Following his Homework Dub, he takes on twelve well-known film themes and builds each one from the ground up rather than leaning on the gimmick. Shaft and Coffy Is the Color ride heavy bass and skanking guitar, Psycho turns tension into echo-chamber space, the Imperial March lands with real weight, and Condor gets the full reverb treatment. Warm, playful and surprisingly deep, it works for dub heads and soundtrack fans alike. Released on Stix.
