Two prolific studio musicians found each other through the mail and turned out to be the same person in two places. Misha Panfilov works out of Estonia, Shawn Lee out of London, and Paradise Cove moves between dreamy library psych, tropical lounge, and spacey instrumental funk without ever announcing the shift. "Deep Sea Oddities," "Camel Sands," and "Gyroplane" give a fair sense of the territory. The playing is unhurried and the production warm, closer to a soundtrack for somewhere that does not exist than to a band record. Back in print via Funk Night Records after a long absence.
