Mitski - Puberty 2 (10th Anniversary Edition) (Forest Shadow Color) Vinyl LP
Happiness as a houseguest who leaves a mess, on forest shadow
- Tenth anniversary reissue of Mitski's second album for Dead Oceans
- Includes 'Your Best American Girl' and 'I Bet on Losing Dogs'
- Limited edition pressing on forest shadow vinyl
Ask Mitski about happiness and she will warn you off it. The tension between the two poles is the whole architecture of her second album for Dead Oceans: 'Your Best American Girl' builds from a near whisper into one of the loudest things she has ever recorded, 'I Bet on Losing Dogs' sits still and bleeds, and 'Happy' opens the record by treating joy as a houseguest who leaves a mess. A beautiful and brutal romantic hinterland, and the point where one of modern music's defining voices came fully into focus. Limited anniversary pressing on forest shadow vinyl.
