Recorded fast in 1971 and released to almost no response, it is the loudest and least careful thing Mott the Hoople ever made: Ian Hunter shouting over Mick Ralphs' guitar, covers played like grudges, 'The Journey' stretching out into something close to despair. They nearly split soon after, and then David Bowie talked them out of it. Rhino Reserve, cut from the analog tape. Street date: October 23.
