Twenty years on, the rock opera about The Patient still works because the band never once winks at it. Gerard Way sings the whole thing as though death really does arrive dressed as your fondest memory, and Rob Cavallo's production gives him marching snares, stacked harmonies and guitar solos to match. All fourteen original tracks are here, from 'Welcome to the Black Parade' through 'Famous Last Words'. This import pressing puts the album on a single concrete grey record in a gatefold jacket, with a removable O-card, new art insert and printed inner sleeve.
