A rock opera about a dying man whose death arrives in the form of his fondest memory, which is an absurd premise until you hear Gerard Way commit to it completely. Rob Cavallo produced, and the scale is enormous: marching snares, Queen-sized harmonies, guitar solos that would be ridiculous if they were not played with total conviction. 'Welcome to the Black Parade' earns its place, but 'Famous Last Words', 'Mama' and 'Cancer' are where the record actually cuts. Gatefold double LP with music across sides A, B and C and laser etching on side D.
