Paramore's fourth album is the one where the band stopped being a pop punk act and became something harder to file. Made as a trio after the Farro brothers left, it runs seventeen tracks and nearly an hour, and it swerves constantly: Now comes in swinging, Still Into You is pure power pop, Ain't It Fun brings in a gospel choir and a marimba, and three short ukulele interludes sit in between like breathing room. Hayley Williams sings the whole thing like someone with something to prove. Spread across two LPs.
