Pedro & Capricious had a run of hits behind them by 1983, and Sun Patio is what happened when they pointed that band at Latin standards. The Peanut Vendor opens the record and returns as a reprise to close it, with Besame Mucho, La Paloma and Maria Elena in between, all sung in Japanese by Sawa Katsuragi, the group's fourth vocalist. Hiroshi Nagai painted the sleeve, which tells you most of what the music sounds like: palms, a pool, a horizon. Twelve tracks, and the first time the album has been reissued.
