Primal Scream - Screamadelica (Import) Vinyl LP
Indie rock handed to Weatherall and returned as pure acid house
- Includes 'Loaded', 'Movin' On Up' and 'Higher Than the Sun'
- Produced with Andrew Weatherall, Hugo Nicolson and The Orb
- European import pressing across two records
The record where a Scottish rock band handed their songs to Andrew Weatherall and got back the sound of an entire era. Weatherall, Hugo Nicolson and The Orb pulled the guitars apart and rebuilt them around breakbeats, gospel samples and dub space, and the result moves from the open-armed rush of 'Movin' On Up' through 'Loaded', 'Come Together' and the ten floating minutes of 'Higher Than the Sun' without ever sounding like a band trying on a costume. This European import pressing spreads it across two records.
