Album Facts
Radiohead - The Bends Vinyl LP
The moment Radiohead left Creep behind for good.
- XL Recordings vinyl pressing of Radiohead's 1995 sophomore album The Bends
- Breakthrough record that moved Radiohead from grunge-adjacent rock to art-rock ambition
- Includes Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, Just, and Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Released in 1995, The Bends is Radiohead's second album and the record where they outgrew the shadow of "Creep" for good. John Leckie's production gives the band room to be both huge and fragile, with Jonny Greenwood's guitars swinging from serrated to shimmering behind Thom Yorke's most open-hearted vocals. "Fake Plastic Trees," "High and Dry," "Just" and "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" all live here, and the album still sounds like a band discovering just how far they could go. This is the XL Recordings vinyl reissue, pressed after XL took over the band's catalog.
