Album Facts
RJD2 - Since We Last Spoke CD
The second album, widening past the sampler into live playing.
- RJD2's second album, following the 2002 debut
- Sample work running alongside guitars, live drums and pop songwriting
- Standard jewel case
Having built a debut almost entirely out of other people's records, RJD2 spent the follow-up widening what he would let in. Since We Last Spoke keeps the sample work but runs it alongside guitars, live drums and something close to pop songwriting, and tracks like Exotic Talk, 1976 and Iced Lightning each pull in a different direction. It is the sound of a producer refusing to make the same record twice, and the restlessness has aged better than tidiness would have. Issued on CD in a standard jewel case.
