Album Facts
RJD2 - The Horror (Red Swirl Color) Vinyl LP
Deadringer-era remixes and unreleased tracks, 2003.
- The 2003 EP of Deadringer remixes and unreleased material
- Remixes that rebuild the songs rather than tweak them
- Red swirl vinyl in a full colour sleeve
The Horror collects the Deadringer offcuts, remixes and loose ends from 2003, and it is a better record than that description suggests. Working on the same equipment and in the same mood as the debut, RJD2 reworks several of its songs and empties the drawer of everything else from the period. The remixes are genuine rebuilds rather than tweaks, and the unreleased material explains what he was reaching for. A footnote that reads as a chapter. Pressed on red swirl vinyl in a full colour sleeve.
