Album Facts
Rod Wave - Pray 4 Love Vinyl LP
Soul-rap heartache with gospel piano and hooks that hurt
- Melodic soul-rap built on gospel-tinged piano
- Features "Rags2Riches" and "Girl of My Dreams"
- First vinyl pressing of the 2020 album
Pray 4 Love is the album that made Rod Wave the voice of soul-rap heartache. The St. Petersburg, Florida singer and rapper works through pain, loyalty and survival over gospel-tinged piano beats, carrying every hook with a cracked, aching melody. Faith runs through the whole record without ever turning it into a sermon. Fan favorites "Rags2Riches" and "Girl of My Dreams" sit beside singles like "Dark Clouds," "Thug Motivation" and the title track, with ATR Son Son along for the ride. A 2023 vinyl pressing of the 2020 original, and the first time this one has landed on wax. Heavy feelings, heavy rotation.
