Kansas Anymore is the 2024 second album from Role Model, the songwriting project of Tucker Pillsbury, and it trades the alt-pop of 2022's Rx for warm, folk-tinged songs about homesickness, heartbreak and figuring out who you are. After scrapping early sessions when a formative relationship ended, he rebuilt the record with collaborators including Noah Conrad, Ian Fitchuk, Scott Harris and Jonah Shy. "Oh, Gemini" and "Deeply Still in Love" lead the way, and Lizzy McAlpine joins him on "So Far Gone." Thirteen tender, lyric-first songs, pressed here on baby blue vinyl.
