The second half of Ron Trent's Lift Off, and the one that stretches furthest from the dancefloor. Where Part One pushes energy, Part Two gives the material room: longer builds, more instrumental passages, and the kind of patient arrangement Trent has always favored over an obvious peak. The percussion stays central, the chords stay warm, and the tempos drift lower without the record ever going slack. Taken together the two parts make up a ten-track album recorded across the last decade, but this half stands on its own as a listening record. Pressed across two LPs by Rush Hour.
