Seu Jorge has spent two decades moving between samba, soul, and film, and The Other Side gathers all of it into one record. His voice sits low and unhurried over arrangements that lean acoustic without ever turning precious, and the guest list reads like a map of his career: Beck, Marisa Monte, and Maria Rita all turn up. The songwriting is the real draw, loose and conversational, built for repeat listening rather than immediate impact. Pressed here in a deluxe gatefold sleeve. One of the warmest Brazilian records to arrive in some time, and a career highlight by any measure.
