Suicideboys - Stop Staring at the Shadows (Indie Exclusive Ghost Color) Vinyl LP
New Orleans fog, two cousins, no resolution offered
- The 2020 album, written and produced entirely by Ruby da Cherry and $crim
- Indie exclusive pressing on ghost colored vinyl
- Horror sampling, bass heavy production out of New Orleans
$uicideboy$ made Stop Staring at the Shadows in 2020 with Ruby da Cherry and $crim handling everything themselves, and the self containment shows. The beats are murky and bass heavy, the samples lean on horror soundtrack dread, and the two cousins trade verses about addiction and exhaustion without much interest in resolving them. And to Those I Love, Thanks for Sticking Around is the closest it comes to a thesis. This pressing lands on ghost colored vinyl for independent shops, a fitting finish for a record built out of New Orleans fog.
