Talking Heads - Fear of Music (2026 Remaster) Vinyl LP
Eno-warped 1979 paranoia, remastered with a disc of outtakes
- 2026 remaster of the 1979 album, pressed across two 140 gram LPs
- Second LP collects outtakes and alternate versions from the sessions
- Produced with Brian Eno, whose loops and treatments reshaped the band
Recorded in Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth's Long Island City loft and finished at the Hit Factory, Fear of Music is where Talking Heads stopped being a nervy art-rock band and started being something stranger. Brian Eno pushed the group toward loops, layered percussion and treated guitar, and the results run from the Afrobeat churn of I Zimbra to the claustrophobia of Memories Can't Wait and the deadpan dread of Life During Wartime. This 2026 remaster spreads the 1979 album across two 140 gram LPs, with a second disc of outtakes and alternate versions. Street date: November 13.
