Reverie is the kind of record that barely existed. The New York Disco Orchestra first issued it in 1978 as a promo in a blank sleeve on their own Artemis label, and copies are close to unfindable; later pressings surfaced in Belgium and Japan under a different title. Mixed by Joaquin J. Lopes and featuring brothers John and Rocco Giamundo, it is mostly instrumental, built on string and keyboard arrangements lavish enough to sit next to the Love Unlimited Orchestra, with the Vako Orchestron on one track and bursts of fuzzed electric guitar where you least expect them. 'It's True' remains the rare-groove pick. New artwork follows the band's own unfinished plan for the US cover.
