The Sha La Das are a Staten Island family, Bill Schalda and his sons Will, Paul and Carmine, and they sing group harmony the way it was done before anyone called it retro. Tommy Brenneck heard them backing Charles Bradley on Victim of Love and built a record around them, with the Menahan Street Band filling in behind. Open My Eyes and the title track move slow and wide, closer to a boardwalk at dusk than a studio. This Dunham pressing comes on clearwater blue vinyl with a download card. Street date: December 4.
