Television had been over for a year when Tom Verlaine put out his first solo album in 1979, and the surprise is how little he tried to reproduce them. The guitars still spiral, but the songs are shorter and stranger, with 'Souvenir from a Dream' and 'Kingdom Come' pointing in directions Marquee Moon never went. David Bowie liked 'Kingdom Come' enough to record it himself. Clear vinyl, exclusive to brick and mortar shops. Street date: October 16.
