Album Facts
Tyler Childers - Snipe Hunter Vinyl LP
Rick Rubin at the desk. Loose, funny, unhinged.
- Tyler Childers's 2025 album, produced by Rick Rubin
- Appalachian fiddle and pedal steel against unexpected studio choices
- Specific, regional writing with no sentimentality
Childers made Snipe Hunter with Rick Rubin producing, and the pairing pushes him further from anything Nashville would recognise as a formula. The record is loose, funny and occasionally unhinged, with Appalachian fiddle and pedal steel running up against studio choices that have no business working and largely do. His writing remains the draw: specific, regional and unsentimental about the places it describes. Released July 2025, and among the most restless records he has made.
