Album Facts
Tyler, the Creator - Igor Vinyl LP
Tyler's heartbreak in a blond wig, soaked in synth-soul
- Columbia Records vinyl pressing of Tyler, the Creator's 2019 Grammy-winning album IGOR
- Soul, funk, and synth-pop concept album about love and heartbreak, produced entirely by Tyler
- Includes EARFQUAKE, NEW MAGIC WAND, and I THINK
IGOR is Tyler, the Creator's 2019 album and the follow-up to 2017's Flower Boy, a concept record about falling hard, losing and letting go. Tyler produced every track himself, and the sound is warped soul and fuzzed-out synth-funk, with vocals pitched, buried and blown out on purpose. Guests include Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Solange, Kanye West and Jerrod Carmichael, with backing vocals from Santigold, La Roux, CeeLo Green, Charlie Wilson, Slowthai and Pharrell, among others. EARFQUAKE is the way in, then NEW MAGIC WAND and A BOY IS A GUN* pull you deeper. A Grammy-winning record that rewards the full front-to-back listen.
