U.S. Girls - In A Poem Unlimited Vinyl LP
Disco as protest, played live by Toronto's Cosmic Range
- Meg Remy's second album for 4AD, recorded with Toronto's Cosmic Range
- Features 'M.A.H.', 'Velvet 4 Sale' and 'Rosebud'
- Standard jacket LP pressing
Meg Remy's second album for 4AD, and the one where she traded the sample-built murk of Half Free for a live band. Toronto's Cosmic Range plays most of it, which gives the record a loose, physical swing that makes the subject matter land harder: 'M.A.H.' is a disco song about disappointment in a president, 'Velvet 4 Sale' and 'L-Over' are slow-burning funk, and 'Rosebud' and 'Poem' hold the emotional center. Arrangements come from Maximilian Turnbull and Louis Percival, with Remy and Steve Chahley steering the mix.
