Ten recordings from Lebanon's private press cassette scene of the late 1970s and 1980s, made by short-lived bands and studio projects and circulated mostly among friends. The music moves between disco, pop, soul, jazz, bossa, rock and AOR, and much of it survives only on hand-copied tapes. Many of the musicians ran through Ziad Rahbani's Bypass Studio, sharing players and a common language. Recorded during the civil war, it documents a close-knit scene whose creativity outlasted its circumstances. Stephanie Stephanou, Force, Games, Andromeda and Walid Itayim all feature.
