Miles Cleret of Soundway and DJ Okapi of Afrosynth dug through South Africa-only pressings to assemble this one, and the result is sixteen cuts of bubblegum soul and synth boogie from the townships of the 1980s. Drum machines, cheap keyboards, and vocal harmonies that could carry a stadium. The sound sits between the American-influenced funk of the 1970s and the kwaito that would take over the 1990s, and it has been feeding adventurous DJ crates ever since. Triple vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with notes by DJ Okapi.
