The title is doing some work here. In Reggae Time came out in 1970 and collects tracks Ember Records and its subsidiaries put out on 7 inch around 1967, and only some of it is reggae in any strict sense. What it actually captures is the moment UK mod, R&B, ska and northern soul were all feeding the same dancefloors, with Sonny & The Daffodils, Laris McLennon, Vernon Vermont, Maynell Wilson, Hoagy Benson and Norma Lee running through fourteen sides of it. Long out of print, and repressed here as a limited picture disc.
