Rise of Mana was a free-to-play phone and Vita entry in the series, and Square Enix put more into its soundtrack than the format really asked for. Tsuyoshi Sekito wrote the bulk of it, his most acoustic work to date, with harp and bells and flute where you might expect his usual guitars, though 'A Worthy Foe' lets the rock through. The three composers who built the series each returned for one track: Kenji Ito, Hiroki Kikuta and Yoko Shimomura. KOKIA wrote and sang the theme. It closes on a piano reading of 'Rising Sun'.
