Venturing is where Jane Remover goes when she wants guitars. It started as an elaborate fiction about a lost 90s indie band from South Dakota, then quietly became a real project once the backstory stopped being worth maintaining. Nowhere is its follow-up to Ghostholding and it is short and deliberate: Songs About Leaving opens as a low, string-laden ballad with a grunge edge, Drunk Lullaby and Downtown fill out the rest, and a demo of Freeloading closes it. Slacker rock and slowcore played straight, with the fuzz doing the emotional work. Limited 7 inch, designed by Remover.
