WAMONO A to Z Vol. I/1 - Japanese Funk 1968-80 (Selected by DJ Yoshizawa Dynamite & Chintam) Vinyl LP
Based on the Japanese record guide, a holy grail series of good taste
- Vinyl pressing of Wamono A to Z Vol. I: Japanese Funk 1968-80
- Curated by DJ Yoshizawa Dynamite and Chintam from Japan's vibrant funk era
- Essential pickup for crate diggers and global-groove collectors
The first volume of the acclaimed Wamono series, and the place to start. DJ Yoshizawa Dynamite, a professional DJ, remixer and producer in Japan since the late eighties, and DJ Chintam, owner of the Blow Up shop in Tokyo's Shibuya district and a member of the Dayjam Crew, co-wrote the Wamono A to Z record guide book in 2015. Here they pull some of the best and rarest jazz-funk and rare groove produced in Japan between 1968 and 1980, the home-grown sound that grew out of the late sixties. Needle down, volume up.
