THE BAND THAT NEVER WAS, FINALLY IS - World Goes Round! Frank Musker, Elizabeth Lamers, Jeff Hull and Marty Walsh, four good friends living in Laurel Canyon in 1989, writing hits for major artists including Queen, Linda Ronstadt, Chaka Khan, Supertramp, Jeffery Osborne, Air Supply, and John Fogerty, recorded an album of their own original songs which got lost in their success as songwriters. Rediscovered in 2019, the group and friends were surprised to hear lyrical themes that are more topical now than when they wrote them over 30 years ago. The music captures the spirt of that momentous time, but is enduring and timeless, as history has proven.
These tracks sound as fresh and current now as they did then, maybe even better! Perhaps World Goes Round were ahead of its time, or maybe they were so tuned in to the world around them at the time, that they became somewhat prophetic of the bigger picture of what the world would become.
