RSD Black Friday 2026: The Official Release List

The official RSD Black Friday 2026 list is here, and we have every title lined up for Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving, at GOOD TASTE Records, 4 Thacher St in Boston's North End. This year's slate runs 185 releases deep: live archival sets, anniversary reissues, holiday records, jazz deep cuts, hip-hop, soundtracks and a couple of collectible figures.

What Is RSD Black Friday?

RSD Black Friday is the annual fall edition of Record Store Day, held on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It is smaller than the April event, but it is built on the same idea: exclusive pressings released only through participating independent record stores. It is also one of the best days of the year to find a gift for the music lover in your life, or for yourself.

How RSD Black Friday Works at GOOD TASTE Records

The same rules apply as they do every Record Store Day:

  • In-store first. Every RSD Black Friday title is sold in-store on November 27.
  • One copy per title, per person.
  • No holds or reservations. Everything is first-come, first-served.
  • Not part of Buy 4, Save 10%. RSD Black Friday titles are excluded from our standing discount on new albums.
  • Online after the event. Any remaining stock is added to goodtasterecords.com after the in-store day, and the one-copy-per-title limit applies to online orders too. Orders that try to get around the limit will be canceled, as outlined in our shipping policy.

Keep in mind that distributors set the quantities each store receives, and we sometimes get fewer copies than we ordered. That is exactly why the interest survey matters: it helps us order with confidence. Event hours and day-of details will follow in a separate post.

Highlights From the RSD Black Friday 2026 List

Anniversary editions lead the way: 2Pac's Pac's Life turns 20, Jefferson Airplane Takes Off turns 60, and Barenaked Ladies' Born on a Pirate Ship hits vinyl for its 30th. Live archive fans get Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at the Tower Theater in 1975, Prince's Live at 3121 Las Vegas, Bill Withers' 1974 BBC concert and the Grateful Dead at the Carousel Ballroom.

The jazz bin is deep this year, with Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers' ORTF recordings, Stan Getz at Keystone Korner, Charlie Parker's Bewitching Bird and the Bill Evans Trio's Across the Alps. City pop collectors can line up for three Masayoshi Takanaka titles, including Super Selection. For the holidays, there is Vince Guaraldi's A Charlie Brown Christmas in an advent calendar edition, along with Christmas records from Cher, NRBQ, the Eagles and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. And George Harrison's self-titled album and Thirty Three & 1/3 spin as zoetrope picture discs.
